Description: A New Zealand heirloom originally from Denmark, famous for slicing with it’s long cylindrical roots. Produces much more uniform slices than round beets. This tender and sweet variety is great raw or cooked, young leaves also edible. This is the most productive beetroot per sqm of ground, and in our opinion tastes the best as well!

Planting Instructions: Scatter seed into trays leaving space so they don’t need pricking out, cover with 3mm of seed raising mix. Transplant 4-6 weeks later at 15cm diagonal spacings. To avoid black spots and rotting leaves must be a quality nutritious seed raising mix.
