Kōanga has the discretion to decline any order placed or cancel any order for any reason. Whilst every effort is made to ensure prices are always correct on our website, mistakes can occur from time to time. If this is the case, Kōanga will notify you of the error and you will then have the choice to either accept the correct price or to cancel your order.
All prices displayed on our website are in NZ Dollars and include GST.
If for any reason a glitch or fault in the website allows you to purchase products from the website without paying you will be liable for the actual amount owed.
Please order carefully as we cannot combine orders once they have been placed
Membership and members free seeds
If purchasing a membership we recommend that you do this as a stand alone item and then order any seeds in a separate order. That way you will be able to add your members free seeds to your seed order. Although the seeds are free, they do incur a freight charge. We recommend that you order your free seeds when ordering other seeds to make best use of the freight. These cannot be added to orders already placed.
We send all parcels tracked with NZ Post. When your order is posted you will receive an order note with tracking number. We only deliver to addresses within New Zealand.
Incorrect and incomplete addresses can delay shipping so please make sure that you provide an accurate address including your postcode and rural delivery number if you have one. You can find your postcode by visiting NZ Post’s website and entering your details in the address and postcode finder.
We reserve the right to adjust any order where incorrect shipping has been applied.
Due to the complexities of sending out many items of different sizes we have a minimum freight charge of $7.95 (urban) and $11.95 (rural). We suggest that you purchase multiple items to make best use of the freight charge. Seeds, books and booklets and garden essential products can all be shipped together to save on freight. Depending on contents your order will either be shipped by NZ Post or NZ Courier Post and we determine the best option when sending.
Please note that items from our perennial collection are mostly sent from a different location to seeds, books and products so freight cannot be combined for those items. Fruit and support trees can also not be combined with other items.

Problems with delivery
Once your order leaves us it is in the hands of NZ Post. Occasionally there are problems, delays or even missing parcels which is why we use a tracked only system and why we e-mail tracking numbers to customers on dispatch. This means we can track where a parcel is in the system and ask NZ Post to find it. Please note though that NZ Post have a 21 day limit on claims for missing items so it is essential that we are contacted within 21 days of dispatch otherwise we will be unable to claim from them and will be unable to provide a refund, replacement or credit.
Workshops and Guided Tours
Whether a workshop or tour will run depends on having a sufficient number of people booked in to make the event economically viable. We will do everything possible to advertise events but reserve the right to cancel and provide a refund if there are insufficient bookings.
We respect your privacy. We will never disclose, share or sell your email address, or other contact information to any other company. All information about you will remain strictly confidential. Should you ever want your details removed from our database, simply let us know and we will process your request immediately.
Promotions, Competitions & Giveaways
Occasionally, Kōanga launch promotions, competitions, offers & giveaways via our website, newsletters, Facebook page, Instagram page and/or online channels. These promotions are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook or Instagram. Kōanga reserves the right to determine the winning entry.
Winners will be informed via e-mail. Open to NZ residents only other than ‘virtual’ items.
Additional competition details will be specified on the digital channel where posted.
Winners agree that their name may be used by Kōanga for publicity purposes with no remuneration.
The Prize winner(s) will be notified using the contact details provided on entry and will have 21 days to reply to the “Congratulations” email and accept the gift they’ve won. If the winner(s) fails to respond within the aforementioned period, Kōanga reserves the right to re-draw the prize and announce a new winner(s). The 21-day period will also apply to the re-drawn winner(s).
Kōanga’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
