Description: Tipuana tipu is a subtropical large, spreading semi-deciduous tree to 20m, with a light spreading crown and branches. It makes an excellent shade tree. Flowers many, in long, loose sprays, each with wavy yellow-orange petals. Fruit usual for the Fabaceae family. Timber straight grained and durable, useful for fuel, charcoal, cabinet making and stock fodder.

Planting Instructions: Seed keeps well when dry, easy to germinate in seed trays after last frost. Prick out when germinated into tubes or pots and plant out after last frost the next year, or Autumn if frost free.
