Description
Kay has been growing and using medicinal herbs for many years to support her health and that of her family.
In this exciting new workshop Kay will
- Encourage and support you to begin connecting and working with the herbs in your garden, and environment, for your health and the health of your family
- Show you how to choose the herbs that could work for you and the best ways to use them as medicine
- Show you what these herbs look like, and how they grow and give you a feel for the environments they prefer to do well
- Show you how to make your own herbal remedies
Workshop participants will
- Learn to recognise a basic range useful herbs
- Learn to harvest, process, and make remedies with these herbs
- Learn to use these herbs effectively
- Learn to make an oil infusion
- Learn to make a hot water infusion
- Learn to make a salve
- Learn to make a tincture
- Learn to to store herbal remedies
- Learn to grow, harvest and make your own nourishing seasonal teas
In addition to all of this knowledge participants will take away 6 remedies of their choice from the children’s and women’s remedy list in the new Herbal Health and Healing booklet, plant material for several herbs and 6 packets of herb seeds of their choice. Participants will also receive a 30% discount for the online Herbal Health and Healing Workshop.
About Kay Baxter: Kay has been an organic gardener for fifty years! She is a professional seed saver and educator in the fields of Nutrient Dense Food Production and Regenerative Garden Design and Management. She is a researcher in the field of human health in relation to our environment and has authored many books. For many years her research has been focused on the connections between soil health, plant and animal health and human health.

Please note: The Workshop will be confirmed two weeks before it begins. If circumstances prevent the Workshop from going ahead, enrolment fees will be refunded in full.

Cancellation Policy: Students who cancel their place at a workshop with more than three weeks notice will be given an 85% refund, however cancellations after this time can only be refunded 50% of the course fee. Cancellations with less than 48 hours, no refund can be given.
