Description

It’s known for its large, juicy, mildly sweet, and aromatic green-gold fruit, and is considered hardy and vigorous. Great for the home gardener.

The Niagara grape, a popular green table grape variety, has a story rooted in New York and a growing following in New Zealand. Developed in the late 19th century by Claudius L. Hoag and Benjamin W. Clark in Niagara County, New York. The Niagara is a cross between Concord and white Cassady grapes. In New Zealand, the Niagara is popular particularly for its early ripening, sweet flavor, and suitability for home gardens and vineyards, especially in regions with cool climates. This one has been in the Koanga collection now since 1985, and we love it… it’s always the first to ripen.

Ripens early March. Easy to grow with reliable heavy crops.
