Description: HERB-culinary, 20cm perennial. This lovely herb has creeping roots, sending up woody stems, branched above, often purplish. The leaves are opposite, petiolate, nearly entire hairy beneath. The whole plant has a strong, peculiar, fragrant, balsamic odour and a warm, bitterish, aromatic taste, both of which properties are preserved when the herb is dry.
Planting Instructions: Plant seed into trays in Spring, when first two leaves appear, prick out at 2.5 cm diagonal spacing, and transplant into garden at 30 cm diagonal spacing when ground temperature reaches 15 degrees C.
