Description:  Perennial 2m. Vegetable companion. Insectary. This is an original form of sunflower currently being developed by The Land Institute as a perennial source of oil seed. The rhizomes have traditionally been eaten by the American Indians. It’s great source of carbon for the compost heap and the millions of starry yellow flowers in Autumn are beautiful.

Planting Instructions:  Propagate by seed or rhizome. Sow seed into trays in Spring, prick out at 2.5 cm diagonal spacings then transplant when leaves touch to 50 cm apart in rows or diagonal spacings.
