Description

Heritage Status: New Zealand
Bio-Region of Origin: Waiheke Island
Number of Seeds: 20

Description: Gifted by Derek Hindle of Waiheke Island. This bean is a very vigorous climber, it has a huge crop of green, stringless and hairless beans over a very long period. It can be picked over 3 months if you have made sure they have good soil and water. If you’re looking for an old bean that you can crop for CSA’S, farmers markets and the like this would be a good one for you to chose.

Planting Instructions: Scatter sow into seed trays and transplant as soon as second leaves appear at 10cm spacing under trellis. This avoids problems with birds, slugs, snails, and rotting in cold ground.
