Adzuki beans have been grown in Asia for centuries and are very popular in Japan. They great in stews and soups. Gail was given these beans a few years ago and has been growing them successfully in Northland for the past 5 years. They appear to cope well with varying weather conditions including droughts and wet summers.

Planting Instructions: Sow into seed trays when ground has warmed in Spring. Transplant at 10 cm diagonal spacing when second leaves appear. This will avoid problems with birds, slugs, and snails.
