Description: Stunning plant with deep burgundy leaves and large black jewel like burgundy drooping seed heads. When popped they are black / white, and very crunchy. A very ornamental grain variety. Grows to 1m only, making it easier to net than taller cultivars.
Planting Instructions: Plant October through to early November. Prick out when first two leaves appear at 2 cm diagonal spacing and transplant into beds when 5 cm high – at 50 cm diagonal spacing. Enough seed to plant 150 m of raised beds or equivalent.
