Description: Marguerite are, along with Captain Cook strawberries the earliest to arrive in this land with our forebears. They are a vigorous strongly suckering cultivar that have small red, intensely sweet fruit. They make a great groundcover.

Planting Instructions: Plant in rows with plants 30-40cm apart in the row and 50 cm apart between rows. Be sure to have a plan for covering from birds before fruit begins ripening. Strawberries are heavy feeders so prepare the beds with compost, and provide liquid or foliar feeds during the growing season. They need well drained soil and must not sit in poorly drained soil over winter. They love a pine needle mulch and a little seaweed
