Description: The Captain Cook strawberries, along with Margarita Strawberries are reputed to be the very first strawberries that came to this land with our forebears. Without a doubt Captain Cook is the best tasting strawberry ever. The plants produce medium size super tasty red strawberries when well grown. They are healthy plants and sucker but not as vigorously as others

Planting Instructions: Plant in rows with plants 30-40cm apart in the row and 50 cm apart between rows. Be sure to have a plan for covering from birds before fruit begins ripening. Strawberries are heavy feeders so prepare the beds with compost, and provide liquid or foliar feeds during the growing season. They need well drained soil and must not sit in poorly drained soil over winter. They love a pine needle mulch and a little seaweed.
