Description
Every old orchard had one, especially for making jam. We love them for eating and also bottling. They are closer to the plums our ancient ancestors would have been eating than any other plums I know.
Small dark skinned, yellow fleshed fruit that is tart but full of flavour.
Ripe when the dark skin has a white ‘bloom’ on it. February March.
