Description: From the KUSA collection of ancient grains.This is the original blue flowered flax seed, that grew in Europe wild with our grains that co evolved withit, barley and wheat high in Omega 3 and 6 and it’s quite a different shape and size to that commercially available today. It’s larger and flatter. It is also the original Irish linen plant. This is the original blue flowered flax seed, that grew wild in Europe amongst several of our other well known grains, barley wheat and oats, that co evolved with it. High in Omega 3 and 6 and it’s quite a different shape and size to that commercially available today. It’s larger and flatter, easily grown, easily threshed and prepared for the kitchen, easy to grind in a corn grinder. It is also the original Irish linen plant.

Planting Instructions: Scatter sow seed over 3sqm. Rake in, cover with bird netting until 2cm high. Remove netting. Or scatter sow into a seed tray and transplant into garden at 10cm diagonal spacings.
